This policy describes how Trust Laws Partners LLP (aka. TLP) uses information it collects on its websites where this policy is posted. It also applies to outreach, informational, and marketing emails we send as well as to our interactions with our clients and potential clients. This policy does not apply to our use of employee information.

The type of personal information we collect depends on your interactions and relationship with us. We may collect:

• Contact information: Name, email address, fax number, phone number, and postal address;

Other identifying information: partial social security number or in some cases, driver’s license numbers for job applicants;

We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information, as defined by California law, for inferring characteristics or for purposes other than those permitted by law. We keep these categories of personal information as long as necessary or relevant for the purposes for which it was collected. We also keep information as required by law.

We Use Your Information As Described

We use your personal information for the following business and commercial purposes:

• Transactional Purposes: We use your information to contact you and respond to your requests and inquiries. We use your information in order to communicate with you.

• Analytical Purposes: We use your other information to analyze preferences, trends and statistics about the use of our site.

SMS PRIVACY POLICY

At Trust Law Partners LLP, we value your privacy and make every effort to respect your wishes and personal information. In line with this commitment, we have established the following policy for the use of SMS and text messaging with clients. Please read it carefully to understand how we collect, use, and manage your phone numbers.

• Collection of phone numbers: We collect your phone numbers only when you voluntarily provide them to us, for example, during client intake, or when you fill out our website contact form at trustlawpartners.com. You can also opt in to receive SMS messages either by verbal or email confirmation with TLP staff. Message & data rates may apply.

• Use of phone numbers for SMS: Your phone numbers are primarily used to provide you with information about your legal matter or appointment. SMS messaging charges may be applied by your carrier. We will not share your opt-in to an SMS campaign with any third party. No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

• Opting out of SMS messages: If at any time you wish to stop receiving SMS messages from us, you can opt out by: Texting STOP to opt-out

• Please note that the opt-out process may take up to 10 business days to become effective. During this period, you may still receive some messages from us.

• Privacy of phone numbers: Once you have opted out, we will not send you any more SMS messages, nor will we sell or transfer your phone number to another party.

• Changes to this policy: We may periodically update this policy. We will notify you about significant changes by placing a prominent notice on our site.

Sources of Personal Information

We collect information from the following sources:

We collect information directly from you: We collect contact information directly from you. This includes information you provide when you contact us, or submit a job application. We also collect information from you if sign up for email communications, or otherwise submit it to us. This could be in person. It may also be over the phone or online or on a hard copy document.

We collect information from you passively: We collect Internet and other electronic activity passively using tools like browser cookies and web beacons. We may work with others to gather information on our platforms and elsewhere. We may do this on our websites and in emails that we send to you.

This might include our clients, social media websites, previous employers, your healthcare provider, institutions, your legal or financial advisors and your bank.

Combining Information: We combine information we obtain from different sources with publicly available information.

WE MAY DISCLOSE INFORMATION WITH OTHERS

With service providers who do things on our behalf: For example, we may share all categories information with a vendor who sends emails out for us, who hosts our blogs, who hosts and manages document review, or who assists with providing technology and user assistance.

We disclose all categories information if we think we have to in order to comply with the law: This includes cooperating with law enforcement when we think it is appropriate, obtaining legal remedies or limiting our damages, and protecting the rights, safety and/or property (your property, our employees’ or others).

Additional information for California, Nevada and Virginia residents. California, Nevada, and Virginia law require that we tell you if we share personal information or “sell” personal information with a third party for monetary or (in California) other valuable consideration. We do not sell information in this way, including of minors under the age of 16. Share is specifically defined under the law. Sharing means providing personal information to a third party for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not share personal information in this way based on our understanding of that term.

YOU HAVE CERTAIN CHOICES AND MAY HAVE CERTAIN RIGHTS

Marketing Emails: You can opt-out of marketing emails by following the instructions in the message we send. We may also give you choices about other emails you receive from us.

If you live in California or Virginia, or a state with a similar law, you may have the following additional legal rights:

Access: to learn the categories of information we collect and use, and for those in California, the categories of sources of collection and disclosure and the business purpose for collection;

Portability: a copy of (Virginia) or specific pieces of (California) personal information collected;

Deletion: to have us delete information we collected from you;

Correction: asking us to fix your information; and

Non-retaliation: not to be discriminated against for exercising a privacy right.

For all requests, you must provide us with your name, email address and phone number. Failure to provide all of the foregoing information will prevent us from processing your request. To verify your identity we match information you provide to the information we have in our systems. To designate an authorized agent to act on your behalf, you must send a signed, written authorization to us at info@trustlawpartners.com.

In some situations we may not be able to process your request. This may include if a legal exception applies. If you disagree with our decision you can contact us as described at the end of this policy.

Nevada residents: You may also opt out of the future sale of their information to a third party so that they may license or sell that information by emailing us at noted at the end of this notice.

Third party agents: If you are submitting a request on behalf of an eligible resident, we may ask for additional information to verify your identity. This may include providing proof that you are registered with the Secretary of State to act on someone’s behalf or proof of a power of attorney.

INFORMATION IS STORED IN THE UNITED STATES

Information we collect is stored in the United States. If you are located outside of the United States, including the EU, be aware that information you submit will be transferred to the United States and you consent to this transfer. You understand that the United States may not provide the same level of protections as the laws in your country.

SECURITY MEASURES

We use reasonable security as required by applicable law. No website is completely secure, however. We encourage you to use websites and share information with caution.

Our website may have links to third party content. We do not control that content or the third party’s privacy practices. We encourage you to read their privacy policies to understand how they use your information.

INFORMATION COLLECTION FROM CHILDREN

Our website is not directed to children under the age of 13 (if you are located in the United States) and under the age of 16 (if you are located outside the United States). We do not knowingly collect information, including personal information, from children. If we obtain actual knowledge that we have collected personal information from someone under the applicable age listed above, we will promptly delete it.
