For Mistee A. Galicia, a client’s case is never just another matter on the docket. She understands that trust and estate disputes often involve family history, financial security, and relationships—and that for clients, the stakes can be deeply personal. Ms. Galicia combines determined advocacy with a practical, compassionate approach, believing that if a case matters to her client, it matters to her.

Licensed in California, Nevada, and Arizona, Ms. Galicia brings extensive experience in complex litigation, courtroom advocacy, regulatory compliance, and trust and estate matters. She began her career as a prosecutor in Arizona before spending seven years in medical malpractice defense, where she developed litigation strategies, handled depositions and motion practice, worked extensively with expert witnesses, and prepared cases for trial.

She later served as legal counsel within the Nevada System of Higher Education, including as Assistant General Counsel to the University of Nevada School of Medicine, Deputy General Counsel, and Director of Statewide Compliance. Her experience includes advising executive leadership, conducting investigations, negotiating contracts, developing policy, and navigating complex legal and regulatory disputes.

Ms. Galicia earned her J.D. from the University of Arizona College of Law and graduated summa cum laude from Northern Arizona University with a B.A. in Humanities.  Outside the office, she enjoys yoga, reading, traveling, spending time with her family, and almost anything that gets her outdoors—especially near the water. Her travels include everything from quiet days by the shore to swimming with sharks in Bora Bora. She is also an enthusiastic explorer of new restaurants, particularly because someone else is doing the cooking.
